Job Type: Full-Time 10-Month Position

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Pre-Employment Transition (Pre-ETS) Instructor to lead engaging classroom instruction for high school students with disabilities.

In this role youll design and deliver lessons that prepare students for employment post-secondary education independent living and lifelong success while building meaningful relationships with students schools and community partners throughout Onslow County.

What Youll Do

• Design and deliver engaging instruction for students ages 14-22 participating in Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
• Teach lessons focused on the five required areas of Pre-ETS:
  • Job Exploration Counseling
  • Work-Based Learning Experiences
  • Workplace Readiness Training
  • Instruction in Self-Advocacy
  • Postsecondary Education Counseling
• Adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning styles and student needs
• Foster student confidence independence and workplace readiness
• Collaborate with facilitators school personnel and community partners
• Travel between multiple high schools throughout Onslow County
• Maintain documentation and program records

What Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in Special Education Exceptional Children Education Rehabilitation or a relatedfield preferred (equivalent experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities will be considered)
• Experience teaching training or facilitating instruction
• Excellentcommunication and classroom management skills
• Valid North Carolina drivers license with a driving record that meets agency standards
• Ability to travel between school sites throughout Onslow County
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Lift 10-25 pounds
• Sit stand and move throughout the school day

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $21.00 - $22.50/hour
