Special Education Teacher

HJ STAFFING is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to fill an immediate vacancy in an Elementary Life Skills classroom at Stafford Elementary School.

This role involves leading a self-contained classroom designed for students in Grades 15 with moderate to severe disabilities. The ideal candidate will foster a safe supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each students unique developmental academic and functional life skills goals.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 3:40 p.m.

• Manage and lead a self-contained Elementary Life Skills classroom (Grades 15).
• Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Deliver modified core curriculum content while incorporating essential life skills and behavioral strategies.
• Collaborate with classroom paraprofessionals therapists administrators and parents to support holistic student growth.
• Maintain complete and accurate compliance records progress tracking and evaluation reports.

• Special Education Certification: Valid Texas (EC12) Special Education certification.
• Content Certification: Valid Texas Generalist or Core Subjects certification covering elementary grades 15.
• Proven experience working with elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred.
• Strong classroom management communication and crisis-de-escalation skills.
• Ability to pass required state background checks and clearance procedures.
