• Student Age Group: Ungraded (students are ages 12 to 21)

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans based on students academic and functional abilities.
• Create a positive structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with related service providers administrators paraprofessionals and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings annual reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Utilize positive behavior management strategies to support student success.
• Modify curriculum instructional materials and assessments to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain compliance with all New York State special education regulations and school policies.

• Valid New York State Teaching Certification in one of the following: Grades 1-6 (acceptable) 7-12 Special Education.
• Bachelors degree in Education Special Education or a related field.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying academic and developmental needs.
• Masters degree in Education or Special Education (preferred).
• Previous experience working with adolescents and young adults with special needs.
• Experience implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional and behavioral intervention strategies.
