Educatational Aide - Complex Needs

• Assists students with physical disabilities according to their needs includingtransferring to and from wheelchairs lifting or positioning.
• Helps manage behavior of students.
• Assumes responsibility for learning and adapting to each students specialmedical physical communicative and emotional needs.
• Works with individual students or small groups to develop motor skills andconduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher.
• Helps supervise students throughout the school day inside and outside theclassroom.
• Keeps the teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Protects and maintains the confidentiality of information that pertains tostudents or staff members.
• Participates in staff development training programs faculty meetings andspecial events as assigned.
• Demonstrates punctuality and good attendance.
• Interactions are supportive courteous and respectful with students parentsstaff community members and other professionals.
• Complies with all verbal and written directives.
• Responds constructively to supervision and guidance.
• Records documentation as required.
• Demonstrates effective organization in the use of time and resources to carryout assigned duties.
• Helps with care and maintenance of equipment.
• Provides orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
