Sparks Distribution Inventory Cycle Counter Level 1

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThe Inventory Cycle Counter ensures Hoffmasters raw materials are counted accurately and inventory numbers are precise. Accurate inventory is vital to our operations and this position is a critical component of our inventory addition to counting raw materials this position may also be required to move inventory with a clamp truck or forklift and will assist our shipping department in finished goods inventory as JOB DUTIESScan inventory: Accurately track items and ensure they sit in correct variances: Identify structural root causes of inventory discrepancies and data MUV: Audit and correct Material Usage Variance to align system data with physical waste: Monitor material consumption patterns to detect and minimize manufacturing modernization: Utilize technology and fresh ideas to improve our current plant operations: Develop a strong working knowledge of all plant manufacturing movements: Ensure all physical material movements update accurately in the daily: Work closely with Receiving and Shipping Teams assisting them when safely: Run clamp trucks and forklifts securely in a busy manufacturing Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of inventory bin systems / best practices for inventory managementKnowledge of material management proceduresKnowledge of forklift or clamp truck operations; Paterson certification requiredSkill in oral and written communication; bilingual in Spanish preferredSkill in problem solving critical thinking and decision makingSkill in building and maintaining internal and external relationshipsAbility to flexible self-directed and motivated to improve processesAbility to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changesAbility to work safely in a manufacturing environmentAbility to demonstrate professionalism and a team-driven attitudeEducationMin/Preferred Education Level DescriptionMinimumHigh School or GEDPreferredVocational / TechnicalForklift or Clamp Truck Operation in a warehouse or manufacturing Of ExperienceMinimum Years of Experience: 1Inventory management in manufacturing TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: NoneWORKING CONDITIONSPrimary Working ConditionsManufacturing Environment: Exposure to machinery powered industrial vehicles variable temperature PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSStandard Shift LengthAbility to Lift/Push/PullPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)Other Physical Requirements8 hours depending on workloadUp to 50 is required which includes safety shoes eye protection and hearing protectionSignificant walking and standing; Incidental Climbing. #Sparks625
