Spanish Teacher (Middle School)

Job Description:

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans instructional materials and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students learning Spanish.
• Teach Spanish language skills including speaking listening reading and writing using a UDL approach that utilizes various techniques and strategies.
• Provide engaging and interactive classroom instruction to facilitate language acquisition and develop students cultural awareness.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active student participation student-centered learning and collaboration.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational tools to support language instruction.
• Assess students progress regularly through assignments tests projects and oral evaluations and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Identify individual student needs and adapt instructional strategies accordingly to support their language development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on the latest language teaching methodologies and resources.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events as required.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate that promotes respect understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Spanish Education or a related field Required.
2. Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education in Spanish.
3. Fluency in Spanish (including native or near-native proficiency)
