Were hiring a Sourcing Category Managerat our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia MO and were looking for someone whos ready to grow with us bring energy and drive to their work and help us build the future of construction. This position is fully remote.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the sourcing and procurement processes for the Construction/Building Products/Consumables across EquipmentShare
- Negotiate the best pricing and value for products and services in the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner
- Oversee and manage the creation of new and renewed vendor relationships and contracts
- Review product quality and effectiveness for EquipmentShares needs
- Guide mentor & develop team members and vendors to meet business goals and targets
- Evaluate product vendors and study market trends to identify the best vendor options and predict product availability
- Assist in the development of standards processes and best practices for the Procurement department
- Communicate clearly and collaborate across teams organization-wide to achieve goals and establish transparent procurement processes
- Review current category services and products to identify areas of price reductions efficient purchasing improvements etc.
- Build solid vendor relationships for common services across the category
- Collaborate and work with the organizations management during vendor evaluation and selection as well as purchase contract negotiations and service level agreements
- Mine data to drive in depth analysis of category usage and spend.

Skills & Qualifications
- A bachelors degree in business or a related field is preferred
- Must have at least 8 years of Construction & Building Products category management experience
- Professional certifications preferred e.g. CPSM CIPS C.P.M. or evidence of continued professional growth Targeted Competencies
- Strong project management communication and leadership skills
- Solid working knowledge of the complete procurement cycle with a hands-on work style
- You can negotiate with the best of them and youre personable and charismatic
- You should feel confident and comfortable communicating effectively with all levels of leadership within the organization
- In-depth knowledge of Procurement Supply Chain and Inventory fundamentals
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to build relationships with key business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
- Inner drive to accomplish goals and not deterred by obstacles
- Capacity to develop innovative strategies and solutions creative problem solver
