Sooner Card Student Assistant (Fall)

Position Introduction:

Sooner Card has a unique opportunity in welcoming students faculty and staff to the University of Oklahoma through the creation of the Sooner Card. The Sooner Card Student Office Assistant provides an important service to the University of Oklahoma community by welcoming new students faculty/staff retirees and affiliates to OU with the creation of their Sooner Card.
Hiring for Fall Positions does not guarantee Spring Semester employment.

Representative Duties:

The Sooner Card Student Assistant works directly with the Sooner Card Team Leads and under the Sooner Card Graduate Assistants and provides excellent customer service to a diverse community of students staff faculty and their affiliates. They will assist with or be directly responsible for the following:

• Opening/closing the Sooner Card office with little to no supervision
• Printing Sooner Cards Research Cards etc.
• Daily cleaning and sanitation of workspace
• Answering the Phone and routing calls or taking messages
• Responding to emails and processing orders.
• Dealing with credit card debit card and cash transactions
• Other clerical tasks as required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
• Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
• Must attach Fall 2026 ONE class schedule.

Student Assistants should be well versed with the university and be able to provide excellent customer service to a diverse community. Basic knowledge of computers printers scanners telephones and cash handling is preferred.

• Customer Service skills and ability to work independently and under supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Mac OS desktops and laptops
• Able to work with little to no supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to maintain confidential records
• Cash handling experience
• Multi-line telephone familiarity
• Basic office skills: printer/copier
