Job Description:

Be part of the sales pursuit team for Measurement Systems & Services (MSS) opportunities by providing technical advice to design cost effective engineered solutions that maximize Emersons portfolio and differentiate from competitors. Combine technical expertise of analytical process systems with consultative selling to design and deliver engineered solutions that meet customer requirements and drive revenue growth. Engage early with customers and/or end users to provide technical support and help specify Emersons portfolio of analytical process gas solutions and differentiators. Understand project requirements and specifications to provide adequate technical support optimizing the technical solution provided. Provide technical advice on the design of analytical process gas and liquid systems. Interpret functional requirements of specifications and select necessary equipment based on sound engineering techniques and practical experience. Consider price and cost optimization objectives during design. Design and develop engineered solutions for LNG refining petrochemical power industries using Emerson products ensuring compliance with specifications and cost objectives to secure customer approval. Interpret customer specifications and industry standards to select appropriate equipment and configure systems that meet performance and reliability requirements enabling Emerson to offer tailored solutions differentiating Emersons solutions and supporting winning bids. Perform engineering calculations and create documentation (system specifications layouts BOMs) using design tools (AutoCAD SolidWorks) to present accurate proposals that strengthen Emersons value proposition. Optimize designs for cost effectiveness and manufacturability to improve competitiveness and support sales objectives. Participate in presentations factory acceptance tests and site visits to validate solutions and build trust contributing to successful project closure. Work closely with global sales and engineering teams to develop strategies track major projects and ensure technical solutions align with business development goals. Utilize industry knowledge to better understand customer needs and requirements. Perform technical support for system functional testing including customer witnessed factory acceptance testing (Pre-FAT and FAT) and site acceptance testing (SATs). Demonstrate highly effective global collaboration with Measurement Solutions Systems global Center of Excellence throughout the quote to cash engagement cycle. This includes but is not limited to proposal project management engineering fabrication and supply chain teams and work processes. Lead and coordinate global team to develop and promote engineered solutions gold standards for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facilities. Develop effective business development strategies working closely with the Emerson Global Project Pursuit Team Strategic Accounts Leaders and Direct Sales Channel to meet and exceed sales and profitability targets. Deliver business performance that meets or exceeds orders and sales commitments. Track major/strategic sales projects within the world area - developing and managing relationships with key accounts together with the sales channel. Collaborate as an active member of the North American Sales Organization. Dynamically achieve leverage and collaboration in support of the Strategic Priorities of the North American Emerson Automation and Measurement Solutions strategic plans. Provide strategic guidance and oversee technical/commercial strategy with sales channel when necessary making customer sales calls and product presentations in coordination with Emerson sales channels as required. Telecommuting limited to one day per work week; must work in the office the remaining four days. Travel domestically up to 25% of the time.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelors Degree or the foreign equivalent in Instrumentation Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Chemical Engineering Control Engineering or a related field plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience in an Electrical engineering or process engineering occupation. The required experience must be progressively responsible and must include:

• 7 years of experience engineering solutions for analytical process gas liquid business development and technical experience including working in global large and matrix organizations;

• 7 years of experience working with the engineered solutions industry including competitor technical offerings specifically around process gas analyzer and emissions monitoring (CEMS) solutions; and

• 3 years of experience managing teams in business development related activities.

• Domestic travel required up to 25% of the time.
