A leading international provider of email software is looking for a highly experienced Software Engineer to join its prestigious engineering team.

Job Description

• Work closely with customers to determine needs that need to be met and what components need to be delivered
• Agree upon specifications with customers that are necessary to satisfy their requirements and then develop the components accordingly
• Assist with integration of both the custom-built components and the core messaging platform into the customers application
• Complete a wide range of projects from carrier-class deployments to supporting millions of messages per day to appliances used by Fortune 500 companies
• Perform within a team to deliver web-based solutions to customers
• Develop software on a pre-determined timeline adhering to pre-defined specifications

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

• A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Must have at least 5 years experience designing Software
• Experience developing email technologies is highly preferred
• Experience with UNIX (Linux Solaris or FreeBSD) server development in C
• Highly proficient with Perl
• Strong communication skills are vital as customer interaction is a key responsibility
• Experience writing multithreaded applications as well as writing TCP/IP and UDP networking code
• The ability to write unit and regression tests in Test::More based systems
• A solid knowledge of PHP or Java is a plus
• Strong Familiarity with gdb and other command line debuggers as well as memory debugging tools and techniques (valgrind lint dmalloc libumem etc.)
• Good understanding of multi-platform portability concerns
• Experience contributing to Open Source projects specifically CPAN projects is highly preferred
