Software Testing Analyst

Digital Consultants is seeking a collaborative and driven Software Quality Functional and Automation testing analyst. In this role the ideal candidate will be an integral part of ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with SCRUM teams developers and program management to validate functional requirements while also contributing to the advancement of our automation testing capabilities.

Location: Fort Huachuca AZ

Location: Hybrid Onsite 3 days a week or as required by the customer

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and validate user stories technical specifications and functional requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Design write and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios for functional integration and regression testing phases.
• Identify document and track software defects at times collaborating with development teams to recreate or perform root-cause analysis.
• Work closely with teammates SCRUM teams software developers and program management to ensure alignment on quality goals and project deliverables.
• Design execute and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in the development maintenance and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Actively participate in sprint planning daily stand-ups sprint reviews and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.

• Clearance: Secret
• Certifications: Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. SCRUM Leading SAFe T&E automation and/or AI in T&E certs are valuable recommended.
• Education Background and Years of Experience: Requires a Bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience; or an Associates degree with at least 6 years of experience; or at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards a Bachelors degree and at least 6 years of experience; or 8 years of experience. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards an Associates or Bachelors degree.

• Excellent communication skillswritten verbal and interpersonal.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
• Detail-oriented able to work independently self-motivated and a proactive team player.
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles and experience working within sprint-based development cycles.

Preferred Skills

• Contract writing knowledge is a plus.
• Jira experience
