Software Test Engineer

• Plans and performs software application testing throughout the SDLC.
• Software Test Engineer is highly organized applies established testing principles and methodologies uses automation and defect-management tools validates application and data behavior and incorporates security and performance considerations for complex systems.
• Develop organize maintain and execute software test plans test cases test data and results against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform unit-support integration system and regression testing of software applications across applicable front-end back-end database and interface components.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and basic coding or scripting skills; analyze software behavior and troubleshoot test failures.
• Use Jira to document prioritize track and communicate defects and work items and use SQL and Linux to validate data inspect environments and support troubleshooting.
• Participate throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) collaborating with developers engineers analysts and Agile or Scrum teams to improve testability and quality.
• Apply security best practices and performance-testing techniques appropriate for complex applications documenting risks results and recommendations.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of the SDLC and Agile or Scrum delivery.
