Job Summary
The Opportunity:
As a Software Test Engineer you will be part of an Agile development team supporting the design development and testing of software systems for signals intelligence radar and communications prototype development for our Navy customer. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines. You will help ensure software quality through automated test development execution and reporting while collaborating with developers and system engineers to validate functionality and performance. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented engineer passionate about software quality and automation. You will work with scripting languages (Python Bash) test frameworks and DevSecOps tools to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop maintain and execute automated test scripts for functional integration and regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments including containerized applications (Docker Kubernetes).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and deployment.
- Analyze test results troubleshoot failures and document findings in a clear and structured format.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to improving testing processes and practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Python Java).
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks (e.g. PyTest JUnit Selenium).
- Knowledge of containerization concepts (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI DoD Security Clearance.
Desired:
- Experience with Linux-based systems (e.g. RHEL CentOS).
- Experience in networking and data distribution protocols as well as frameworks and monitoring tools (Vita49.2 TCP UDP Sockets ActiveMQ Data Distribution Service (DDS) Wireshark)
- Exposure to DevSecOps tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI).
- Interest in RF systems or DSP concepts is a plus.

Pay Range:
