Position Description:

McKessons Undergraduate Intern Program provides an opportunity to experience the healthcare industry first-hand and apply academic knowledge in a real-world software engineering environment. Through project-based work across key business initiatives you will gain hands-on experience developing and testing software solutions including responsible applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams build a professional network and strengthen the technical and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in a dynamic and growing business.

Undergraduate Intern Program Details:

• Paid Internship
• Full-time work
• Position is located in Irving TX Columbus OH & Pittsburgh PA

• The intern will be assigned a project-focused opportunity aligned with a current priority within the McKesson Pharmacy Systems Engineering team. The work may include designing developing testing or evaluating software and AI-enabled capabilities that improve engineering productivity operational workflows or user experiences. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply software engineering data and responsible AI practices in a dynamic and growing business.
• The internship program also provides networking access to executives structured performance coaching and fun activities!

Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree program for the duration of the internship to be eligible.
• 3.0 minimum GPA.
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program applicable to Software Engineering Computer Science Data Science Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning or a related technical field and entering your Junior or Senior year.
• Coding experience in JavaScript Python or another programming or scripting language.
• Understanding of relational databases SQL queries data structures and software development fundamentals.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Willingness to learn develop and contribute in an agile development environment.
• Experience with using AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality and engineering efficiency coursework projects or hands-on exposure to artificial intelligence machine learning generative AI or natural language processing.
• Energetic and curious self-starter who brings interpersonal skills sound judgment and creative problem-solving to the team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
