As a Software Engineer on the EEE team you will take ownership of features and components across the full development lifecycle. You build native macOS iOS and iPadOS applications in Swift and SwiftUI designing thoughtful interactions integrating AI capabilities where they enhance the experience and leveraging platform interoperability to create applications that feel connected and contribute independently to technical design deliver quality results with limited guidance and collaborate actively with cross-functional a team this size you own meaningful pieces of the product and your engineering decisions have direct impact on the experience thousands of Apple employees have every day.

Design develop and maintain native application features in Swift and SwiftUI across macOS iOS and iPadOSnOwn features end-to-end: from requirements and technical design through implementation testing deployment and iterationnBuild features that leverage AI and platform services to enhance usability surfacing intelligence contextually and reducing manual effortnIntegrate with system frameworks (App Intents Shortcuts extensions) to create connected interoperable experiencesnWrite thorough automated tests (unit integration UI) and contribute to a culture of engineering qualitynConduct and participate in code reviews; provide and receive constructive technical feedbacknPartner with designers and product managers to translate requirements into polished accessible solutionsnDiagnose debug and resolve production issues; contribute to post-incident learningsnMaintain clear technical documentation for systems APIs and design decisions

Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI with demonstrated experience shipping production applications on macOS iOS or iPadOSnExperience with RESTful API integration and client-side data architecturenB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience

Solid understanding of software design principles data structures and algorithmsnFamiliarity with accessibility best practices and inclusive design on Apple platformsnStrong understanding of Apple platform frameworks (Combine Swift Concurrency SwiftData or Core Data)nExperience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications (Core ML Foundation Models framework or LLM APIs)nFamiliarity with App Intents Shortcuts WidgetKit or other platform interoperability frameworksnExperience building localised applications for a global user basenKnowledge of CI/CD tooling and automated testing practices for Apple platformsnExperience working within enterprise or internal platform environmentsnStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across time zones
