Were looking for an iOS Software Engineer to join the Snapchat Messaging team building fast reliable and fun communication experiences used by millions every day. Youll work on our iOS app focusing on core chat media messaging notifications and realtime performance.
What youll do:
Design build and ship high-quality messaging features in the Snapchat iOS app
Improve reliability latency and performance of chat and media delivery on iOS
Collaborate with product design and backend teams to define and execute roadmap
Instrument analyze and A/B test features to drive messaging engagement and DAU
Uphold code quality testing and observability for a large-scale iOS codebase
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Experience with iOS services or distributed systems
Solid understanding of networking async/concurrent programming and performance tuning on iOS
Ability to understand the operational aspects of your system and may participate in incident or hotfix investigation and resolution
Ability to collaborate and work well with others
Proven track record of shipping consumer iOS features end to end
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
1 years of post-Bachelors software development experience; or Masters degree in a technical field

Compensation
In the United States work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $118000-$176000 annually.Required Experience:
