As a Software Engineer III at AV youlldevelopsoftware to control some of the mostadvancedrobotic platforms from AVandindustry leadersincludingBoston Dynamics Red Cat FLIRSkydio QinetiQ Parrot and more. Youllplay a key role in developing Kinesis our flagship software ecosystem that enablesusers tocollaborativelycontrol many disparate robots.

This role is ideal for engineers who take ownership enjoy working hands-on with hardware and bring structure and clarity to complex move quickly make sound decisions and continuously improveour productand execution.

Position Responsibilities

• Designimplement and integratesystemsin C and Kotlin

• Buildcross-platformapplicationsforAndroid Linux and Windowsto control robotic platforms

• DesignSDK interfaces for internal and external integration with AV systems

• Develop automated tests and tooling to ensure real-world reliability

• Performhands-onfieldtestingwith robots to validate new features

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

• Bachelors degree in computer science computer engineering or related field with 5 years of relevant experience

• Strong fluencyin modern Cbest practices SOLIDprinciplesand modular architecture

• Experienceevaluatingproduct designtradeoffs andtranslating them into clearsystem requirements

• Hands-onknowledgeofCMakeor similarbuild systems

• Experiencedevelopingsoftwareformechatronicor hardware-integrated systems

• Knowledge of computer networkingtopologiesprotocolsand principles

• Familiarity withsafetycritical software conceptssuch as determinism and real-timesystems

• Self-directed engineer who takes ownership and brings structure to complexsystems

• Ability toengagedirectly with technical and non-technical customers

• ExperienceusingAI toolsto accelerateteam velocity

• Ability to obtain a US DoD Secret clearance if required

• Willingness to travel locally (Occasionally)
