Description:
The software engineer develops maintains and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs software reuse use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement data pipelines at scale including both the synthesizing of new pipelines and the refactoring of existing pipelines to improve efficiency and code correctness. Monitor and improve existing data science tools in support of transition from development to production systems. Design implement and enhance ML analytics using a wide variety of Python libraries including but limited to PyTorch NumPy Pandas and test track and curate models using standard tools and GitOps for continuous integration and deployment of models using Docker AWS services such as EC2 S3 and RDS for building and deploying applications. Integrate model and tool outputs within Computer Network Defense (CND) systems and/or software tools to enhance implement and maintain the Security Management/Monitoring services and capabilities within the Agency IT Enterprise. Document all processes and code; provide comprehensive reports on the completed tasks.

Salary varies based on Years of experience: $185000- $200000
A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered including but not limited to geographic location Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates relevant work experience specialized skills and competencies education and certifications.
