About the Role

As CoStars next Software Engineer you will have a direct impact on highly visible CoStar Suite web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve CoStars software products.

This position is located in Arlington VA and is onsite Monday Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high performance web applications used by thousands of users globally

• Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence

• Influence CI/CD pipeline improvements

• Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.

• Mentor junior developers review code and architecture and promote software development best practices

• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStars technology platform and development practices

• Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStarsbusiness model / technology

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited not for profit in-person university or college.

• A track record of commitment to prior employers

• 2 years of production developmentexperience inmoderntechnologies like React Vue TypeScriptNodeJS C# .Net OpenSearch Kafka SQL NoSQL

• A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms

• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS Cloud Managed Services etc.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum processes and Continuous delivery practices

• Experienced in unit performance and automation testing

• Experience leveraging AI to improve productivity

• Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience managing a large Enterprise level code base code quality and dependencies

• Experience with React and/or Nodejs in particular

• Experience implementing AI powered product features

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Commercial Real Estate(CRE)knowledge is a bonus

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location skills and competencies.

Base Compensation: $103000 - $154000 Annually
