Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure

Join a small engineering team building a data platform for the alternative investment industry. You will develop foundational systems for data ingestion structured context permissions and lineage with significant autonomy to take work from an ambiguous problem to production.

• Design and ship production systems for data ingestion structured context and the governed data foundation used by applications.
• Build infrastructure to provision and manage customer AWS environments translating diverse data formats into typed related records with lineage and permissions.
• Own projects end-to-end from initial requirements through reliable systems that support daily business workflows.
• Use LLMs and AI-assisted development tools as part of your engineering workflow.
• Contribute to technical direction and architecture decisions while collaborating with a lean engineering team.

• 1 to 8 years of software engineering experience with evidence of increasing responsibility or scope.
• Experience at an early-stage venture-backed startup and at a well-regarded technology company.
• Hands-on experience designing and shipping data ingestion and transformation pipelines including data schemas lineage and permissions.
• Strong computer science fundamentals supported by a CS degree or a combined computer science and mathematics background.
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code and cloud infrastructure management especially Terraform and AWS.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Python FastAPI Temporal dbt React and Docker is relevant.
• Interest in fintech data platforms or alternative investments is valuable.

Salary range: $165000 to $290000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
