The End User Computing market is growing at an incredible pace right now which means youll be solving some of the most interesting problems in providing secure fast highly scalable streaming infrastructure while working across industry-leading AWS services. Our team is innovating across multiple areas to deliver the best-in-class interactive streaming platform and as an SDE youll own features end-to-end ship to real enterprise and ISV customers and have a direct hand in shaping what world-class application streaming looks like next.

Key job responsibilities
As an SDE on the WorkSpaces team youll design and build features for our cloud desktop and interactive streaming platform end to end from scoping through production. Youll write clean maintainable code that runs at scale optimize real-time streaming paths for latency and reliability and operate what you ship (including on-call). Youll work across multiple AWS services to deliver secure highly available infrastructure that enterprise and ISV customers depend on daily. Expect to dive deep into performance profiling benchmarking identifying bottlenecks and collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions. Youll participate in code reviews raise the bar on engineering standards and contribute to operational excellence across the team. When somethings broken or could be better you take initiative and fix it. Youll also help us figure out how to scale both technically (millions of concurrent desktops) and as a team (mentoring improving processes writing useful documentation). The End User Computing space is evolving fast so youll frequently evaluate new approaches and help decide where we invest next to keep our streaming platform best-in-class.

A day in the life
On a typical day youll balance executing on our long-term roadmap with responding to emerging customer issues and finding inventive ways to satisfy new customer needs. Youll work closely with engineers product managers and partner teams across AWS like networking and security. Your customers are enterprise IT organizations and ISV partners who need desktops that are reliable secure and fast so the feedback loop is tight and the problems are real. Beyond regular engineering work theres always room to stretch into areas like mentoring or shaping team direction.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
