Software Development Engineer, Ads Sales Assistant

As part of the Sales Assistant team youll build gen AI applications autonomous agents customer-focused UX workflows and web services that make Amazon Ads global sales teams dramatically more effective. Youll turn massive data sets and disparate systems into insight-driven products that help sales teams serve some of the worlds best-known brands as well as small businesses selling on Amazon.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who has built **scalable production gen AI applications** and tackled real-world challenges like accuracy hallucinations context limits and agentic orchestration. If you want to ship AI products at scale that directly impact how billions in ad revenue are generated wed love to connect.




Key job responsibilities
- Partner closely with design and product teams to understand customer needs propose features build rapid prototypes and transform them into compelling production-ready experiences.
- Drive innovation by introducing tools frameworks automations and processes that elevate the entire teams development velocity.
- Write clean maintainable code and uphold engineering quality through thoughtful peer code reviews.
- Deep-dive into client and server systems to optimize for performance scalability and extensibility.
- Mentor team members and champion engineering excellence across the org.



About the team

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
