Job Summary

The Software Developer (WSCE)-Journeyman develops integrates tests and maintains software for advanced modeling and simulation systems that support military training testing and evaluation. The role involves developing C/C applications integrating software into flight simulators supporting DevOps processes working with databases and scripting languages and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance simulation platforms. Responsibilities also include reviewing code implementing real-time simulation software and contributing to software design and future system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop software for advanced modeling and simulation environments.
Integrate software into flight simulators for pilot training.
Support software development integration customer training and demonstrations.
Design develop test and maintain C/C applications.
Develop software using CMake Bash Python or similar scripting languages.
Work within DevOps environments including automated builds testing and deployments.
Evaluate and review C/C source code.
Develop real-time software using parallel processing multithreading and inter-process communication.
Simulate complex environments and platforms.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement software enhancements.
Utilize Git Jira and other Agile development tools.
Support cross-platform software development.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology Mathematics Physics Aerospace Software Systems Electrical Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
3 years of software development experience.
Experience with C/C CMake Bash Python scripting and databases.
Familiarity with Agile development tools such as Git and Jira.
Experience with Windows/Linux development environments is preferred.
Experience with modeling & simulation military systems or training environments is preferred.
Ability to obtain required security clearance.
