Job Summary
The Software Developer (WSCE)-Journeyman develops integrates tests and maintains software for advanced modeling and simulation systems that support military training testing and evaluation. The role involves developing C/C applications integrating software into flight simulators supporting DevOps processes working with databases and scripting languages and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance simulation platforms. Responsibilities also include reviewing code implementing real-time simulation software and contributing to software design and future system enhancements.
- Develop software for advanced modeling and simulation environments.
- Integrate software into flight simulators for pilot training.
- Support software development integration customer training and demonstrations.
- Design develop test and maintain C/C applications.
- Develop software using CMake Bash Python or similar scripting languages.
- Work within DevOps environments including automated builds testing and deployments.
- Evaluate and review C/C source code.
- Develop real-time software using parallel processing multithreading and inter-process communication.
- Simulate complex environments and platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement software enhancements.
- Utilize Git Jira and other Agile development tools.
- Support cross-platform software development.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology Mathematics Physics Aerospace Software Systems Electrical Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years of software development experience.
- Experience with C/C CMake Bash Python scripting and databases.
- Familiarity with Agile development tools such as Git and Jira.
- Experience with Windows/Linux development environments is preferred.
- Experience with modeling & simulation military systems or training environments is preferred.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance.
