On site in Tysons Corner VA 3 days per week

Dev Technology Group is looking for a Software Developer to supporta project to plan and implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for web-based applications as part ofOperations & Maintenance (O&M)for afederal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevantdevelopmentexperienceunderstanding ofIdentity & Access Management (IAM)strong collaboration and communication skills and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment. This isa great opportunityto work on mission-critical systems that provide clear value to end users and our federal government clients.

Summary

In collaboration with the Project Manager Development Lead and incumbent team members theSoftware Developerwill help to plandesign and prototype the implementation ofsecureuserauthentication mechanisms for web-based primary focus of this role is to deliver a robust MFAsolutionleveragingindustry available and a customer preferredidentity provider(IdP)solution.

Required Education Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelors Degree withseven(7)or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise ITenvironment
  • Multi-yearproficiencyin application development withone or more languages: JavaScript/TypeScript ( React Angular) Java / Spring Boot
  • Experience withidentity and access managementandsingle sign-on preferably withMicrosoftEntra ID
  • Project experience developing and integratinguserauthentication workflow withweb-based applications for exampleSpring security
  • Excellent communication skills(both verbal and written) plusactivelistening skillsto collaborate with a large cross functional team
  • Software delivery using the Agile Scrum or Kanbanmethodologyvia Jira

Preferred Education Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge and implementation of MFA solutions specificallyIdPsAWS Cognito OktaMicrosoft Entra ID and/or
  • Knowledge and management of AWS GovCloud servicespreferableCognito Lambda S3 EC2 and API Gateway
  • Experience withDevSecOps CI/CD pipelines automated buildscontainerized environmentsand version controlusing Jenkins or a similar tool
  • Understanding of tokens authentication andauthorization and best secure coding practices
  • Familiarity with implementing phishing-resistant MFA protocols including PIV/CAC integration or authentication standards
  • Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Experience implementing passwordpolicies and account recovery flows
  • AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)

Our estimated salary range for this position is $100000 - $160000 this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
