We are seeking highly motivated engineers to join our team in building and maintaining best-in-class tools that deliver exceptional performance reliability and this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring our web services operate at peak efficiency providing seamless and uninterrupted experiences for our users. You will be responsible for contributing to the design development and deployment of tooling with a goal of maximizing availability and minimizing time to detect and time to resolution of issues.
This role requires a strong understanding of web service architectures technologies and best practices along with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure our web services meet the highest standards of performance availability and security. Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive design and bring innovative products and services to market.
Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
Build distributed storage index and query systems that are scalable fault-tolerant low cost and easy to manage/use.
Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
