- Position Summary
- One temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position in Sociology Gerontology and Gender Studies Department.
- Start Date
- Positionavailable on or after September 1 2026 and ending on or before May 21 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting visitors scanning archiving records and photocopying.
- Answering phone on behalf of Sociology Dept.
- Mail pick up and delivery
- Assist in continuing administrative tasks initiated and assigned by the ASC and/or Dept. Chair.
- Assist in coordinating weekly work schedule with the ASC and submitting timesheet hours for approval at the end of each month.
- In-person support for Sociology Gerontology and Gender Studies Office walk-ins.(e.g. directing individuals to classrooms noting and forwarding inquires to appropriate faculty/staff etc.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Basic troubleshooting with technology (printers computers copy machine etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
- Salary Range
- $16.90per hour.
