SOC Manager

A SOC Manager is responsible for managing the SOC team which monitors detects and responds to cybersecurity threats 24/7

Key responsibilities include:

• Team Leadership: Hiring mentoring and training SOC analysts and engineers establishing career paths and preventing burnout in high-stress roles

• Incident Response: Acting as incident commander during security events coordinating containment removal and recovery and aligning with frameworks

• Security Strategy: Developing and implementing security policies procedures and overall cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives

• Tool and Technology Management: Overseeing SOC tools cloud security platforms and automated detection systems to improve efficiency and threat response

• Stakeholder Communication: Translating complex technical security issues into actionable insights for executives and other departments
