The Flexo Slitter Operator finishes master rolls to a final specified dimension that gets re-wound into a roll. These rolls will either be seamed (to create a shrink sleeve) or ship directly to the customer per their requirements/expectations. Our primary need is currently 3rd Shift where we offer a $1.85 shift work at MCC:Compensation: $23.08 - $24.29 - hourlyGenerous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating :Comply with all company and safety policies and proceduresAttains and maintains all defined job objectives related to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changesCoordinate with supervisor to maximize the quality and efficiency of make ready runs maintenance and general and stage all job components prior to the job coming to the job bag and understand work instructions for changes special instructions and any other pertinent up and verification of correct unwind position size/height/width specified footage label amount and/or diameter during make and adjust the machine to achieve size and good alignment to irregular cutting and/or winding maintain proper tension and maintain the integrity of the finished upkeep change shear and razor and remove defects on printed cut ends per customer core roll tags per customer specs and identification of partial per job daily/weekend with quality assurance specifications of the customer and MCCMay be required to complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentationComplete rework as neededResponsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspaceResponsible for working overtime when needed and as assignedRelated duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of Slitter machines machine operator to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form); seen as a team playerAbility to read and understand a job ticketAbility to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test)Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test)Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test)Ability to input data in the computerAbility to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructionsAbility to stand and move around Flexo Finishing area for long periods of timeThe physical demands require standing using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking.
