Being a part of ATS offers an opportunity to build meaningful partnerships innovate new ideas do the right thing and make our company a great place to work!Your Work Matters And So Do YouATS is proud to participate in the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program providing transitioning Active Duty Service Members the opportunity to gain handson civilian experience during the final months of military Logistics SkillBridge opportunity is ideal for Service Members with backgrounds in supply warehouse operations transportation planning or inventory management who are seeking civilian logistics experience in a highly regulated aviation environment prior to separation from the participants remain on Active Duty status and continue to receive full military pay and benefits through the U.S. Department of Defense. This is a training opportunity and is not a paid position with ATS during the SkillBridge accordance with the US Dept of Labor Opinion Letter dated Nov 7 2019 this position meets the criteria to be classified by ATS as an unpaid internship. SUMMARY: As a SkillBridge Participant Logistics you will work alongside ATS logistics and supply chain professionals to gain exposure to civilian aviation supply operations. This position provides handson learning in inventory control material movement documentation and coordination that supports aircraft maintenance and operational DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Assisting with inventory management and material receiving stocking and issuing of aircraft parts and logistics systems documentation and compliance with material coordination to support maintenance in team meetings training sessions and process improvement up-to-date training in ATS Plateau exposure to civilian aviation supply chain best AND EXPERIENCEActive Duty Service Member eligible for the DoD SkillBridge ProgramWithin 180 days of separation or retirement from the militaryMilitary Command approval requiredMilitary experience in logistics supply transportation or inventory preferredHigh school diploma or GED required; aviation training or certifications preferredAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in to read comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure to operate general office equipment including personal computer fax and copy knowledge of MS Office (Outlook Word Excel).Ability to perform basic mathematical to solve practical customer service to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram and schedule to use sheet metal shear band saws skill saws hot knives vises and other common tools to create tooling containers and shipping to use forklifts pallet jacks hand trucks and other various material handling equipment to move stage and deliver parts tools and raw stock EFFORT AND DEXTERITY While performing the duties of this job will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close to stand; walk; and stoop kneel crouch or to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 EMPLOYER STATEMENT:ATS provides equal opportunity for all internship and training placements including those sponsored or administered through U.S. military programs.
