This is a training opportunity and is not a paid position with ATS during the SkillBridge accordance with the US Dept of Labor Opinion Letter dated Nov 7 2019 this position meets the criteria to be classified by ATS as an unpaid internship. SUMMARY: As a SkillBridge Participant Aviation Maintenance you will work alongside ATS aircraft maintenance professionals to gain handson exposure to civilian MRO operations. This role is structured to provide meaningful resumebuilding experience through supervised training observation and participation in maintenance activities that align with FAA and ATS quality DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Assisting with aircraft inspections maintenance and repair activities under ATS safety quality and compliance documentation work packages and maintenance and interpreting maintenance manuals and technical on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and any required exposure to civilian aviation maintenance workflows and best AND EXPERIENCEActive Duty Service Member eligible for the DoD SkillBridge ProgramWithin 180 days of separation or retirement from the militaryMilitary Command approval requiredAviation maintenance mechanical or technical military experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED required; aviation training or certifications preferredGood verbal and written communication to communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels regarding job related a continued aptitude for new assigned to perform basic to intermediate mathematical all regulatory requirements per FAR EFFORT AND DEXTERITY While performing the duties of this job will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close to stand; walk; and stoop kneel crouch or to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 to handle and climb ladders and aircraft EMPLOYER STATEMENT:ATS provides equal opportunity for all internship and training placements including those sponsored or administered through U.S. military programs.
