- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations laws standards policies and/or procedures.
- Provides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors environments and hazards.
- Plans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.
- Conduct hazard analyses of project operations
- Assist in the update and maintenance of the companysafetymanual
- Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks
- Coordinates with operating activities to providesafetytraining and ensuressafetyawareness throughout Miller Electric Company.
- Work with personnel to assuresafeplacement and job assignment
- Assist in the maintenance of accident record keeping
- Provide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents incidents injuries and/or illnesses.
- Foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections
- Performs other duties as assigned
- BCSP credential CHST or above
- Minimum of 3 years of experience overseeing electrical contractor scope of work. This experience must include working either healthcare or data center electrical construction projects.
- OSHA 510 & OSHA 30-hour certification within the past 3 years
- First Aid Narcan Bloodborne Pathogens CPR and AED training
- NFPA 70E and LOTO competency and experience
- Mental Health First Aid Training
- Understanding of Workers Compensation
- Strong technical writing ability
- A strong supporter of collaboration in an effort to gather the best solutions
- Ability to address and train groups of 25-30
- Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
- Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction
- Ability to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric Company
- High energy and self-motivated
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
