Job Description

In this role youll oversee and support a variety of in-plant operations including railcar switching track maintenance transloading and equipment management.

You will lead teams develop employees and build strong customer relationships while ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.

Duties

• Ensure a safe work environment by training employees on safety protocols and operational procedures
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance while maintaining certifications and safety standards
• Lead coach and develop team members identifying high performers for advancement
• Manage scheduling to ensure proper staffing and skill coverage across shifts
• Coordinate daily operations to meet customer expectations and contract requirements
• Oversee cost management including payroll fuel and equipment expenses
• Maintain and support preventive maintenance programs in coordination with mechanical teams
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service delivery
• Perform administrative duties including timekeeping reporting and performance evaluations
• Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient operations

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of supervisory experience in rail operations logistics or a related field
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong communication skills (verbal written and interpersonal)
• Ability to interpret safety rules operating procedures and technical documents
• Basic math skills including ratios percentages and data interpretation
• Ability to solve problems and make sound operational decisions
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to pass a drug screen physical and background check
• Military experience is a plus
