Shop Technician

STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group.

As a Shop Technician for STRUCTURAL you will be responsible for organization maintenance and coordination of shop tools equipment and materials. Projects typically consist of concrete repair masonry restoration waterproofing and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides support with the final preparation and packing of equipment prior to shipping.

• Coordination of equipment freight and delivery.

• Maintenance and orderly storage of shop tools equipment and supplies.

• Keeps shop and yard area organized.

• Assists with delivery of parts and materials to customer sites; and other general support tasks as may be assigned by the Shop/Resource Manager

• Maintains clean work area keeping spills grease and debris to a minimum.

• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and ensures timely and effective repair of any problems identified.

• Interacts with various technicians and administrative staff vendors and suppliers to provide shop and administrative assistance in a number of areas including maintenance of the MX inventory.

• Light mechanical and electrical maintenance of tools and equipment

• Assist with facility maintenance.

• With supervision operates hand-held air electric and hydraulic powered and non-powered tools and more complex equipment.

• Complies with all company and OSHA Safety policies when completing work.

Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position:

• 1-2 years of experience in equipment shop/warehouse is required.

• High school degree or equivalent is required.

• Positively focused in all situations and interactions

• Takes a visible and active role in helping team to succeed.

• Uses appropriate planning tools and processes and executes the plan; understands that success is in the details.

• Knows and lives our 24/7 safety culture.
