Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations including receiving inventory control material handling shipping and warehouse personnel. This position ensures materials are received stored and distributed accurately and efficiently to support production requirements and customer deliveries. The Warehouse Supervisor leads warehouse employees drives continuous improvement initiatives and maintains a safe organized and productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving shipping inventory control material movement and order fulfillment.

• Supervise coach and develop warehouse employees to meet safety quality productivity and attendance expectations.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts audits inventory controls and discrepancy resolution.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.

• Coordinate material flow and collaborate with Production Purchasing Planning and Customer Service to support operational goals.

• Manage staffing scheduling and warehouse performance including inventory accuracy productivity and space utilization to ensure efficient operations and on-time deliveries.

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency reduce waste and optimize warehouse processes.

• Support employee performance management including training coaching recognition and corrective action.

• Ensure warehouse employees maintain required certifications and follow safe operating practices.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Graduate or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain Business Operations Logistics or a related field preferred.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

• 3-7 years of warehouse logistics or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

• Experience with inventory management systems ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and warehouse operations.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operation including shipping receiving inventory control and material handling.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

• Ability to analyze inventory and operational data to support decision-making.

• Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.

Physical Demands
This role is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment and is exposed to the temperature changes. This will result in being exposed to noise vibration chemicals/fumes and navigate around machines. A portion of this role will be performed in an office environment where a computer telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
