Job Summary
OverviewThe PatientCareCompanion Lead (PCL) helps foster a culture that is centered around quality patient care and teamwork. The PCL oversees all Patient Care Companions(PCCs) and ED Transport employeesthat are scheduled for their respectiveshift. The PCL reports to the Patient Companion Program Manager andClinical Leadership. The focus of the PCL is to ensure all PCCs are supported whilemaintaininghigh-qualitycare for patients and all professional able to speak and write the English languageBe knowledgeable ofbasic computer skillsBe able to stand/sit forlong periodsBe able to walk around forlong periodsBe able to lift/transfer patientsinaccordancewithhospital policyHave excellentinterpersonalskills and coaching abilityHavestrong communicationskills and be able to workindependentlyPATIENT COMPANION LEADRESPONSIBILITIESUpon shift start reportto staffing ensure all PCCscheck in/outtimesare recorded onsign in 1-1 Assignments for concerns/swaps/shadow daily breakscheduleand ensure each PCC gets their to round on active assignments andprovidepositivefeedback and swaps are managed hires andobtainsignoffand file daily work assignment to write and communicate incident reportstimely with all pertinent ensuring that their teamcompletes annualtasks and trainings for reporting call outs/tardiesandassistingwith contacting employees all employeesreviewtheir schedules andareusing the W2W checkingemail and W2W every shift for for reviewing weeklypostedschedulesforconcerns/updates.#VPNEhealth
