Service Technician

Responsibilities: Learn and assist with daily in-house plastic and work from drawings schematics and job metal and plastic fabrication and welding including:PVC CPVC PP PVDFStainless steel and carbon steelAssist with in-field plastic repairs and with materials containing or in proximity to hazardous equipment and system compliance with health safety laws regulations and best to customer sites throughout New EnglandMaintain tools equipment and a clean safe job siteRequirements: Experience working in industrial or process environmentsHands-on knowledge in one or more of the following areas:Chemical process pipingIndustrial electrical systemsMetal welding and fabrication TIG/MIG Plastic welding and fabricationIndustrial water or wastewater treatment systemsAbility to read and follow instructions and work as part of a teamStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBasic computer and writing skills for job reporting and communicationAbility to read and understand drawings and technical documentsFlexibility to work weekends holidays and occasional overnight and ability to meet but not required Trade school certifications or formal training in welding electrical or plumbingOSHA or other safety certificationsPhysical RequirementsThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of the week are Monday Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be to lift carry and handle tools materials and equipment approx.. 60 working in industrial environments including standing climbing working flat rooftops and confined spacesThis job operates in a service shop environment both on company and customer site locations.
