Levy at Churchill Downs has opportunity for seasonal part-time employees to join our team for our Fall Racing Meet. Team members that successfully complete the Fall Racing Meet will be invited to return for our Spring Racing Meet in April which includes the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby.

Churchill Downs is home of the Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Derby has been described by Forbes as one of the Greatest Bucket-list Sporting Events in America. Every year on the first Saturday in May over 150000 of guests gather under the Twin Spires at Churchill Downs to create lifelong memories with their friends and family.

• Our Fall Racing Meet lasts from October 25th - November 29th and includes Thanksgiving and Black Friday
• Our Spring Racing Meet lasts from April 24th June 27th and will include the Kentucky Oaks the Kentucky Derby and Downs After Dark

Summary:Assists servers with various dining room activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports servers in preparing the dining room and table sets.
• Delivers orders to the table. Busses table.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
  • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives peelers choppers mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
  • The use of oven mitts fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens warmers or steamtables.
  • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
