Server Analyst

SYSTEMTECis seeking a Server Analyst for a on-site opportunity for candidates in Columbia SC. Candidate will provide hands-on operational support for enterprise server and infrastructure environments with a primary focus on VMware virtualization and SAN storage. The role will troubleshoot maintain monitor and improve infrastructure availability while supporting production needs across a multi-platform environment.

Required Qualifications of the Server Analyst:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• 6 years of experience supporting servers infrastructure or related technologies.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SAN storage environments.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware software operating systems monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-platform environment and participate in on-call weekend and after-hours support.
• Ability to follow established security compliance operational and documentation procedures.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Server Analyst:

• 7 years of experience in server or infrastructure operations.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or RHEL.
• Backup recovery and disaster recovery experience.
• RAID and enterprise storage experience.
• Networking experience related to server and storage configurations.
• CompTIA A Network or Security certifications.

Responsibilities of the Server Analyst:

• Administer maintain troubleshoot and support VMware and SAN infrastructure across enterprise environments.
• Monitor server performance capacity utilization availability and workload trends and address issues as they arise.
• Install configure test and maintain server hardware software operating systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve server and infrastructure incidents in collaboration with internal technical teams vendors and end users.
• Support security remediation audit requirements backup/recovery processes and disaster recovery activities.
• Maintain technical documentation operational procedures and system records while providing support during on-call and weekend rotations.

Work Location: On-site. Columbia SC.
