Apple Service Engineering (ASE)s Compute team is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and enhance the way teams across Apple deploy their workloads on Kubernetes clusters. You will work with world-class engineers on core components of Kubernetes with an emphasis on controllers and infrastructure to optimize efficiency while engaging with the upstream community to drive Apples requirements. Ultimately you will help build the platform that delivers our applications at scale to our end users.

As part of the ASE Compute organization you will: n* Partner with teams across Apple to develop features and functionality that enable Kubernetes clusters to meet their needs around container orchestration. n* Improve the scalability availability and performance of our services centered around Kubernetes n* Evolve the design and architecture to support continued growth while ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth operations n* Partner with SRE to triage investigate and remediate production issues

Bachelors Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience.n5 years of experience in distributed systems container orchestration or cloud infrastructure experience with building and scaling core components of Kubernetes or similar orchestration systemsnExperience with Kueue Yunikorn or related technologies to increase efficiency of Kubernetes clusters preferrednHighly proficient in GolangnExcellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Ability to drive a project from a simple idea to productionnAbility to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersnExperience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
