Senior Utilities Mechanic

• Lead and direct the work of crew members including training and guidance.
• Participate in the installation maintenance and repair of pumps motors and other machinery.
• Inspect mechanical equipment and make maintenance recommendations.
• Operate power tools and large mobile equipment like boom trucks and forklifts.
• Perform welding brazing soldering minor carpentry and painting.
• Submit work activity reports and maintain tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Read and interpret drawings specifications and manufacturers data sheets.
• Troubleshoot problems and make recommendations.
• Respond to off-duty emergency call-ins as needed.

• High school diploma trade school graduation or G.E.D. from a recognized institution.
• Three to five years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair work.
• Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly.
• Ability to lift stoop bend crawl kneel and climb ladders up to 30 feet.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

• Additional qualifying experience or coursework at an accredited college or university in a job-related field.
