IMEG is hiring a Senior Technology Engineer in St. Louis MO to serve as a lead designer or project lead for large highly complex low-voltage technology (ICT) building-system projects. This role collaborates with engineers and consultants to provide project leadership technical solutions and client guidance.
You will support analysis design implementation oversight project budgets training and mentoring and cross-functional coordination. The team supports Education Institutional and MEP markets and performs security and technology risk and systems consulting.

What Youll Do
Technical Path
Lead analysis and design of IT structured cabling audio/video security and other low-voltage building systems.
Create detailed designs specifications and calculations using engineering software and tools.
Perform site assessments and prepare detailed analysis and technical reports.
Gather project requirements and communicate technical information with clients.
Conduct in-process design reviews and implement quality control processes.
Provide technical training mentoring and assistance resolving field issues with minimal support from senior staff.
Lead research development and innovation efforts in low-voltage technology engineering.
Identify and mitigate safety risks associated with low-voltage technology ICT systems.
Collaborate with engineers architects and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
Lead project interviews and presentations.

Project Management Path
Coordinate oversee and manage projects of varying size and complexity as the point of contact for teams and clients.
Collaborate with business development staff Project Executives Client Executives and Market Directors / Leaders during initial project opportunities.
Assist with design scopes of work fee calculations proposal generation and contract reviews.
Create project schedules with milestone and deadline targets.
Create monthly billings submit financial information to Accounting and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages.
Ensure designs meet owner code quality control and milestone-deliverable requirements.
Coordinate design staff and project schedules through design and construction phases.
Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation.
Lead project interviews and presentations.
Resolve client and construction concerns manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals.
Train mentor and motivate staff while building and developing client relationships.

Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Electronics Computer or related Engineering Information Technology Computer Science related STEM field or equivalent required
Professional Engineer (PE) License required
14 years of experience minimum required 16 preferred in the building design consulting industry
Skills and Abilities
Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles relating to electrical voltage and current digital and analog signals basic IT networking topologies and protocols as it relates to electrical low-voltage systems design for buildings
Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Must have the ability to travel up to 50% including local domestic and international travel as needed for business purposes which may include overnight stays and/or air travel
