Job Overview
Seeking a Senior Systems Support Engineer to support laboratory instruments software and networked systems used across R&D and Clinical Operations. This role has a strong focus on networking and connectivity along with hands-on instrument installation qualification maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Install relocate deinstall qualify and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on laboratory instruments and systems.
- Troubleshoot instrument hardware software and network connectivity issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Manage IP addressing and connectivity for networked laboratory instruments.
- Configure and troubleshoot Fortigate firewalls VLANs switches routing DNS/DHCP and related network infrastructure.
- Provide onsite and remote IT/networking support for R&D and laboratory environments.
- Manage service requests and coordinate/triage issues through ServiceNow.
- Document service maintenance and qualification activities accurately in equipment management systems.
- Execute and support IQ/OQ qualification activities and work within applicable FDA/ISO requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members as expertise develops.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Computer Science IT/Networking or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience supporting medical/laboratory equipment and/or networked systems in R&D hospital or clinical laboratory environments.
- Hands-on experience with IP addressing/subnetting VLANs switches routers and firewalls.
- Direct experience configuring and troubleshooting Fortigate or similar firewall/network security appliances.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN and firewall rules.
Preferred
- Networking certification such as CCNA Network or Fortinet certification.
