The Air Combat Test & Training (ACTT) Engineering Department specializes in developing state-of-the-art products for cryptographic datalink networking and command and control applications. They are focused on U.S. military communication systems navigation systems and networks we guide products from concept phase through accreditation to factory production. This includes design analysis test and certification integrating them into the Live Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Training Environment. They are positioned in the Mission Systems business unit our role involves addressing challenges such as developing next-generation secure aircraft instrumentation for the next generation LVC for test and training and crafting product roadmaps and architectures.
The Cybersecurity and Training Missions Engineering Team within ACTT is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team as we provide technical excellence in a rapidly growing Air Combat Training market for system of systems requirements design verification accreditation and sustainment efforts. As a platform-level systems team we have direct customer and end-user interaction and coordination across subsystem teams and stakeholders. Our team culture is highly collaborative and uses a tailored version of the Scaled Agile Framework to meet our program goals.
What You Will Do
Lead and perform requirements verification activities ensuring system requirements are complete accurate and fully traceable across the lifecycle
Develop verification test procedures and independently execute them within a secure laboratory environment ensuring technical rigor and compliance
Conduct peer reviews of test procedures and design documentation providing technical guidance and elevating engineering quality across the team
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to align on program goals resolve integration challenges and support planning and execution activities
Communicate status risks and technical insights to stakeholders influencing decisions that impact cost schedule and technical performance
Develop and own system design approaches coordinating with subject matter experts while modeling system behaviors interfaces and architecture elements within an ModelBased System Engineering (MBSE) environment
Apply MBSE methods and tools to ensure requirements architecture and verification activities remain consistent and digitally connected throughout the system lifecycle
Drive resolution of technical issues by applying structured problemsolving coordinating across affected teams and ensuring timely closure
Provide limited mentoring to earlycareer engineers including guidance in the application of MBSE techniques and system modeling best practices

Qualifications You Must Have
Experience with the systems development process including requirements design integration test and documentation of systems subsystems or software
Experience making decisions that impact cost schedule and technical performance
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with cryptographic datalink networking and command and control applications

Experience with design analysis test and certification integrating them into the Live Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Training Environment

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
