Senior Solution Engineer

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is building a new Solution Engineering team dedicated to delivering technology solutions for Nucors Bar and Engineered Bar Mill Group. We are seeking aSenior Solution Engineerto help design build and scale applications that create measurable business value and improve how Nucor serves its customers.

This team will initially focus on digital ordering and commercial capabilities but will evolve to address the Groups highest-value business opportunities. As the senior technical contributor you will solve complex business challenges establish engineering standards and serve as the technical partner to the Team Lead. You will work closely with business stakeholders to transform operational needs into secure scalable and high-quality solutions across application development enterprise integrations cloud infrastructure and data platforms.

This is a full-time position based in Dallas TX.

• Design develop and deliver complex software solutions from concept through production.
• Lead integration efforts between team applications and Nucor enterprise systems.
• Establish engineering best practices across application development cloud infrastructure integrations and data.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed and software quality.
• Maintain high standards for architecture testing code quality and documentation.
• Serve as a technical advisor and backup to the Team Lead.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews mentor engineers and support team growth through hiring and onboarding.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security compliance and data protection standards.

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of professional full-stack software development experience including meaningful time spent on enterprise system integration.
• Hands-on experience integrating applications against enterprise systems such as ERP platforms middleware or API-based integration layers.
• Experience with prompt engineering API-based LLM integration patterns and AI orchestration concepts applied to real engineering work.
