Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery reuse and recyclingkeeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017were delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time all from batteries we already have.
Senior Software Engineer
Were replacing our legacy Oracle ERP and WMS with custom systems at North Americas largest battery recycler. Youll be one of the engineers building warehouse management procurement workflows ERP integration and operational applications that power a $3B manufacturing operation. After go-live youll own and evolve these systems as the company scales. This is a permanent product area not a project.
Interview Process:
This is a remote position. Please note that final-round interviews will take place in person at a designated office location. Travel details will be coordinated with selected candidates.
Responsibilities will include:
- Own features end-to-end: design build test deploy andoperatein production
- Write clean tested Python and React code andparticipatein code reviews
- Design and build APIs and integrations between systems
- Work with domain experts and stakeholders to understand business processes and turn them into working software
- Contribute to technical design decisions
- Navigate a fast-moving environment where requirements change often and ambiguity is normal prioritize effectively and adapt without waiting for perfect information
- Debug and resolve production issues; monitor and improve system reliability
- Collaborate remotely with team and stakeholders; periodic on-site travel (1 week/quarter) for planning and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications:
- 5 years software engineering experience
- Strong Python skills; production React experience
- Experience building and shipping production applications on AWS
- API design and integration patterns
- Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment and making pragmatic technical decisions
- Strong written communication: you document decisions and communicate async effectively
- Availability for periodic travel to Nevada (1 week/quarter)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience with ERP systems WMS supply chain software or procurement platforms
- Manufacturinglogistics or recycling industry experience
- Event-driven architecture or workflow orchestration
- Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development
- Scrappy mindset: youve built under tight timelines and ambiguity
- Remote work experience on distributed engineering teams
In accordance with California pay transparency laws the salary range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors including experience education and skills.
California Pay Range:
$180000 - $237500 USD
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
