Our team is in-office 4 days a week (Monday - Friday Wednesday optional WFH) in either San Fransisco California or New York New York.

About the role

As a Software Engineer working on Platform you will design build and improve the core infrastructure and systems that Luminai runs on ensuring the platform is reliable scalable and ready to support rapid growth.

What Youll Do

• Lead platform and backend projects from planning through implementation

• Build and maintain shared libraries services and internal APIs that product engineers rely on

• Improve the developer workflow: build times CI/CD pipelines test infrastructure and local development setup

• Contribute to core platform direction using system improvements to support higher scale and reliability

• Maintain and extend Luminai infrastructure across compute data and deployment systems

• Champion good engineering practice through code review testing and maintainability

• Design and implement robust APIs authentication and middleware that hold up under load

• Harden production systems with sensible defaults around access control and secrets management
  

What Were Looking For

• Proven track record of shipping high-quality code in challenging projects

• Significant experience working with distributed systems cloud infrastructure and backend services (Python and/or similar languages)

• Working knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure and production systems (access control secrets management secure networking)

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to work across the stack
