Senior Software Engineer-MR Imaging Software

• Design develop test and maintain software components and features for GE HealthCare MR scanners.
• Collaborate closely with representative users feature leads systems engineers and subject matter experts to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Develop software within Agile development practices and a continuous integration environment.
• Apply modern software engineering principles including software architecture design testing security scalability and maintainability.
• Contribute to the development and support of distributed and microservices-based applications.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across software and system environments.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across development sustaining and support organizations.
• Partner with domain experts to learn and apply complex healthcare and imaging system knowledge.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Software Engineering or another STEM field.
• 8 years of experience designing developing and supporting production software applications.
• Strong experience working in Unix/Linux development environments.
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems or microservices-based applications.
• Experience building software that interfaces with hardware instruments sensors or other physical devices.
• Experience with software version control configuration management and build tools such as Git Perforce Maven or Gradle.
• Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements development architecture implementation verification deployment and maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex software systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative cross-functional engineering environment.

• Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or other STEM discipline.
• Experience developing software for regulated industries such as medical devices aerospace industrial automation telecommunications robotics or defense.
• Experience with medical imaging systems or medical device software development.
• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber/Gherkin.
• Experience with REST APIs and modern service-oriented architectures.
• Python scripting experience.
• Experience with Cypress or automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated software development environments.
