Senior Software Development Engineer

Join a small engineering team building AI-powered CAD software for mechanical engineering. You will own production systems end to end including the backend and machine learning capabilities that power the product.

• Design build ship and maintain core software systems taking ambiguous problems through to production.
• Partner with company leadership to shape technical roadmaps and deliver product goals.
• Set engineering standards through code reviews testing practices and architectural guidance.
• Design and productionize machine learning systems for AI-powered CAD.
• Debug and resolve defects and improve system performance reliability and scalability.
• Improve CI/CD testing and observability as the product and team grow.
• Contribute to the engineering culture and help grow the team.

• 7 or more years of backend software development experience including production software ownership at an early-stage startup.
• Strong Python skills and experience building backend services with frameworks such as Django or Flask and working with SQL.
• Experience owning a codebase end to end making architectural decisions and shipping 0-to-1 products.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Experience developing desktop or native applications for macOS or Windows.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and a degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud; experience with Docker infrastructure or DevOps is useful.
• Background in CAD geometry computational geometry gaming or 3D software is a plus. C#/.NET and desktop app packaging experience including code signing are also useful.

Base salary is $180000 to $250000 annually plus equity options. Visa sponsorship is available.
