Team Overview

The Operational Risk and Control Assurance (ORCA) team is responsible for strengthening TransUnions risk management framework by ensuring key business processes have effective controls in place to identify assess monitor and mitigate operational risks. Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager within the Risk Assurance organization this team partners across the business to support risk assessments control testing incident reviews and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk management role reports to Director of Risk Management. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

• Execute activities within the Operational Risk and Control Assurance (ORCA) Program supporting TransUnions Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Develop and maintain control testing methodologies testing scripts and testing protocols for key operational controls.
• Perform control testing activities including review of supporting evidence to assess control design and operating effectiveness.
• Identify control gaps weaknesses or improvement opportunities and partner with stakeholders to strengthen risk mitigation efforts.
• Support investigations following operational incidents or risk events and assist in designing enhanced controls where necessary.
• Analyze risk control and testing results and present findings to business stakeholders and risk leadership.
• Assess compliance with risk management policies standards and control requirements across business processes.
• Document testing results observations recommendations and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a strong risk and control culture throughout the organization.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

• Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in Risk Management Business Finance Accounting Compliance or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in enterprise risk management operational risk control testing compliance internal audit or control assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks operational risk concepts and internal control principles.
• Experience conducting or supporting risk assessments control testing risk monitoring or audit activities.
• Experience working within a regulated industry such as financial services banking insurance fintech or other compliance-driven environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate control effectiveness and recommend practical improvements.
• Ability to communicate risk and control findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis control testing documentation and reporting.
• Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing risk presentations and executive reporting materials.
• Microsoft Word for documenting testing results control assessments and risk procedures.
• Microsoft SharePoint for document management collaboration and control evidence storage.
• Ability to analyze organize and present risk-related data effectively.

• Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) certifications such as CCEP ARM GRCP or similar credentials.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide risk and compliance programs.
• Exposure to control monitoring issue remediation and risk reporting processes.
• Knowledge of operational risk management best practices within financial services organizations.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to improve controls governance and risk management maturity.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $67500.00 - $112500 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individuals education training work experience job-related skill set location and industry knowledge as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnions annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
