What You Will Do:

Hot Section Module Center (HSMC)South is a world class fabricator of both military and commercial turbine airfoils. HSMC South is looking fora Senior Quality Engineer- HSMC in the production and development of turbine airfoils.

• Provide technical support to the inspection and manufacturing communities; interface directly with shop floor operators and inspection staff
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware to determine compliance to applicable requirements
• Support day-to-day manufacturing activities such as review and approval of work instructions process authorization requests(PAR) and first article inspections (FAI)
• Perform data analysis of quality nonconformances
  Support shop non-compliance investigations to determine root cause identifying robust corrective actions and tracking effectiveness
• Support preparation efforts for third party and customer quality audits
• Support product escape investigations and population bounding efforts
• Construct and perform quality presentations to a technical community

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors Degree in a STEM or related field and 5 or more years of experience in an engineering manufacturing operations quality or related environment environment OR a Masters Degree and 3 or more years of experience in an engineering manufacturing operations quality or related environment
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiar with inspection tooling and techniques

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge/experience with quality systems and standards such as AS9100
• Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools such as relentless root cause analysis (RRCA) and principles of lean manufacturing
• ASQ/CQE

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
